Company Policies
Logos TutoringSM offers
tutoring services in a wide variety of subjects. We have policies
and procedures that are followed
uniformly. Please
review the policies below.
1. Billing
All appointments for Logos TutoringSM are paid when booked, not
on the session day. At this time, we accept only debit and
credit cards, including MasterCard, Visa, American Express,
and Discover.
2. Bookings
Bookings may be done via this
website or by telephone (713-927-7599).
It may
take up to 48 hours
between when the appointment is booked and the first session
is scheduled.
A student may book as many or as few hours as they feel they
will
need, down to a 2-hour minimum. Hours that are booked but
not used are lost, subject to the cancellation/rescheduling
polices
discussed
below. In other words, use it or lose it! The Logos TutoringSM Logos
TutorSM will
inform the student when the time booked for the session
has
elapsed. If a student needs to extend the booked session
time beyond the booked time, he or she may do so if the
Logos TutorSM has
time, but
is thus authorizing payment for the overage on the original
billing card.
3. Cancellation/Rescheduling
by Student Policies
Cancellations or reschedulings may only be made by phone,
directly to Logos Tutoring , at 713-927-7599. The date
and time of when
the call is received is used for the purpose of determining
the period
of notice. Logos TutoringSM will
inform the Logos TutorSM of
the cancellation or rescheduling. Cancellations or
reschedulings
communicated
only to the Logos TutorSM are
not considered valid cancellations, and do not
hold the date and time for notice purposes.
96-hour Notice
Any appointment that is canceled or rescheduled with
4 or more days notice receives either a full refund
for a
cancellation
or a full credit for a rescheduling.
96 to 24 hour
Notice
Any appointment that is rescheduled or cancelled
between 4 days and 24 hours before appointment
receives a 50%
refund for a cancellation
or a 50% credit for a rescheduling.
Less than 24 hours
Notice
No refund is offered for cancellations of less
than 24 hours or no-shows, and no credits
are offered for reschedulings.
4.
Logos TutorSM No-Shows/Cancellations
The following policies apply:
4-day to 24 hour notice
Any appointment that is rescheduled or cancelled
by Logos TutoringSM between 96 and
24 hours before the scheduled
session allows
the student the option of a full
refund or session time
x 1.5 at
the original price.
Less than 24 hours notice
If Logos TutoringSM cancels, reschedules,
or no shows with less than 24
hours notice to
the student,
the student
has the option
of a
refund or a free session plus
a make-up session at no additional charge.
5. Locations and Times
We offer flexible locations and
times designed to meet the
needs of our
students. Certain
locations may have
an associated
fuel
surcharge, which will be
communicated to the student before the session
day. If
your location
is on
the
outskirts of
the metroplex,
there may be a fuel surcharge
associated with that location. Call for a
specific quote.
6. Lateness
The party who is traveling
for the convenience
of the other
party, usually
the Logos TutorSM,
has a 15-minute grace
period.
The party for
whose convenience the
location was arranged, usually the
student, does
not. If the
location is mutually
convenient, a grace
period does not apply.
If the
student is late (after the grace
period, if
applicable),
he/she
loses those
minutes.
If the Logos TutorSM is late, he will owe
the student the extra time
by which he was
late,
either in that session
or at
a later time, in addition
to the
original
booked time. After 30
minutes have passed, a presumption
of a no-show
exists, and
the waiting
party can
exercise their rights
under the
no-show policies.
7. Tutoring Session Lengths
Sessions generally have
a 2-hour minimum,
with certain
plan
exceptions, explained
below in
the section on
plans. Thus,
even if a student
finishes his work
in less time, the same
billing rate applies.
The Logos TutorSM
will
notify the student
when the
2- hour or the
booked-time mark
has been
reached. If the
student wants to extend
the session
length, he/she
may do so if the Logos TutorSM has
time available,
but the student is thus authorizing
additional
payment
on the original
billing card for
the extra time required.
8. Group Discounts
Discounts are available
for groups. The
extent of the
discount depends
on the
number of
students participating.
The plan
limitations apply
to each group
member. All participating
group
members
must pre-pay.

9. Policies
with the Tutors
We ask that students are courteous with our tutors.
If an issue or problem arises between the student and Logos
TutorSM,
Logos TutoringSM
asks that the issue be raised directly with Logos TutoringSM,
so that we can resolve the difficulty. We may be able to
reassign the student to a different Logos TutorSM.
Tipping or any type of cash
compensation paid to the Logos TutorSM is strictly forbidden. Offering side deals to the tutors
is also
strictly forbidden, and is grounds for forfeiture of fees
paid by the student for contracted hours.
Tutors are independent contractors, not employees, of Logos TutoringSM.
That means that we cannot obligate any Logos TutorSM to
accept any specific assignment; we will try to meet requests
for a particular
Logos TutorSM,
but we cannot guarantee the availability of any specific
Logos TutorSM at any specific time.
10.
Background Checks and Logos TutorSM Training
All tutors are subjected to an extensive criminal background
check before hire, and an exhaustive training process.
We ask nonetheless that tutoring of students under
18-take place
under
the general supervision of the parent or guardian.
We recommend an open area such as a dining or living room.
11.
Satisfaction Guarantees
We guarantee that you will be satisfied with
our service. If you are not completely satisfied with our
service, upon completion
of a Refund Request form, you will receive a full refund
on your card. The request must be made online using the
Refund Request Form within twenty-four hours of the tutoring
session.
After consultation with our Logos TutorSM,
a decision will be made as to whether Logos TutoringSM will
be willing to reassign the
student to a different Logos TutorSM or
the student will be denied future tutoring services, such
as for a frivolous refund
request or inappropriate conduct towards the Logos TutorSM.
The satisfaction guarantee does not apply to cancellations,
reschedulings, or student no-shows.
12. Acts of God
In cases of Acts of God, such as hurricanes,
tropical storms, floods, impassable roads, or the like,
neither Logos TutoringSM
nor the student shall have any obligation to the other.
Any fees paid will be refunded or credited, at the student’s
election.
